Cossu Photography is led by Italian photographer Gionata Cossu and his wife and creative partner, Gisel. Based in Tuscany, they bring more than 20 years of international wedding photography experience shaped by their work in Italy, Mexico and destinations worldwide.
Known especially for documenting Indian, Hindu and multi-day South Asian weddings, Gionata and Gisel also photograph destination weddings, intimate elopements, Jewish ceremonies and multicultural celebrations. Their approach combines honest documentary storytelling with refined editorial imagery, preserving genuine emotion, meaningful traditions and the moments that unfold naturally throughout every wedding.

Gionata Cossu is an Italian wedding photographer with more than 20 years of international experience.
His career took him from Italy to Mexico, where he built a strong reputation documenting destination weddings and developed particular expertise in Indian, Hindu, South Asian and multicultural celebrations.
Working with couples from different countries and cultures shaped his documentary approach: attentive, sensitive and guided by a natural instinct for meaningful moments that cannot be staged.
Gionata and Gisel are partners in life and photography. Together, they have documented weddings across Italy, Mexico and international destinations, combining their experience, different cultural backgrounds and shared passion for visual storytelling.
Today, Cossu Photography is based in Tuscany and available for destination weddings throughout Italy and worldwide.

OUR LOVE STORY
How We Met
Gionata and I met through a simple coincidence that quickly turned into something much more meaningful. What began as a casual introduction became a genuine connection, shaped by our shared passion for photography, storytelling and the way we see emotion and light.
A small twist of fate brought us even closer when a message meant for a friend accidentally reached Gionata instead. What could have been a simple mistake became the beginning of our story.
From that moment on, we built not only a life together, but also a creative partnership rooted in trust, sensitivity and a shared artistic vision.
Today, we photograph weddings together throughout Italy and worldwide, bringing our different cultures, experiences and perspectives into the way we tell each couple’s story.

Today, Cossu Photography is based in Tuscany, Italy, surrounded by the landscapes, light and atmosphere that have always been part of Gionata’s roots. From here, we photograph destination weddings and elopements across Florence, Chianti, Siena, Val d’Orcia and throughout Italy, while continuing to travel worldwide for international celebrations.
