This charming couple from New York met at a bar on Halloween! They wound up talking and exchanging numbers and their relationship began. Herman popped the question in April 2018, on a beach close to their home. They really enjoy staying active, traveling, and learning new things both separately and together!!

Sonam and Herman did want a normal wedding, they wanted extravagance. So they invited their friends and families to pack their bags and make the journey for a destination wedding in Mexico. They chose Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and more than 300 of their loved ones made the trip to support them! They came together for several days and we honestly couldn’t tell which part was the best because each event was full of energy, love, and so much laughter. They started with a Sangeet that turned into a raging party with the most beautiful decorative lighting and intricate choreographed dances. 

 

The next day at the Prithi ceremony, it was all the Riviera Maya photographers could do to keep up with everyone as they participated in decorating the bride and groom with turmeric powder. 

 

The following day included an intimate getting ready with the bride while the groom was participating in the baarat parade with the males. Then everyone made their way to the gorgeous Sikh ceremony which included their cultures and traditions to unify the couple for life. And to end their wedding night, they had a huge reception in the ballroom with a stylish sofa placed on stage in front of an abundant display of candles and flowers.
