Tamira and Anuj are two Canadians who prove that what is meant to be will always find a way. They both grew up in the same city of Edmonton, Canada just one street apart, but never crossed paths. Destiny had other plans for them. Anuj met Tamira’s brother in medical school.
Anuj and Tamira met during social gatherings and slowly became close friends. They remained friends, but lived in different parts of the world for many years. By chance, they both found each other again in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. That’s when their spark ignited, and they began their relationship. They started dating in 2012. By 2016, Anuj organized a surprise engagement in Edmonton, Canada where both families live.
The pair now live and work together as Internal Medicine physicians in Virginia, USA. They share a love for traveling, and have been busy exploring the world together. They also share a love for dancing, music and sports — mostly ice hockey since they are from Canada, and it’s their national sport! They celebrated their big day, surrounded by their closest loved ones, with a symbolic Hindu beachfront celebration at Hotel Xcaret Mexico.
The beautiful ceremony was followed by a stunningly glamorous reception at the hotel’s restaurant, Las Cuevas.
