Robin + Rick
Love story
Robin is Canadian-Indian born and raised. Rick is Mexican-American from Los Angeles.
They met in Optometry school (our current profession) in Puerto Rico in 2011.
We instantly became friends and over the 4 years of school fell in love.
After graduation they decided to move to Texas to start their career.
Rick proposed in 2019 they did their engagement photos in Turks and Caicos.
Wedding weekend
The wedding festivities started with a Jaggo night, which included the Maiya ceremony, Choora ceremony and Jaggo party.
It was an incredible event where the two families danced and enjoyed it like there was always one big family. It was wonderful and we really enjoyed that night! an excellent start for this gorgeous wedding.
Fusion Hindu Wedding at Hard Rock Riviera Maya
The next morning, the Baraat and Milni started at 10 am. Of course, we started at 6:30 am to get ready for the bride.
She was radiant and smiling and Rick too!! He looked fresh, and calmed, supporting her in every detail.
The Anand Karaj, Sikh marriage ceremony, was celebrated on one of the beautiful terraces by the sea at the Hard Rock Riviera maya Resort.
A wonderful ceremony, Laavan (the four vows the bride and groom take to complete their marriage) was surrounded with a gentle breeze and a wonderful view of the Mayan Caribbean sea, with all the guests enjoying the fresh shadow of the palapa.
After the ceremony, the Punjabi vegan lunch was super delicious!!
Perfect to recover the energy for the reception of the next day.
The reception was definitely perfect!
Starting from the decoration of the saloon, the flowers and every detail was really natural and delicate.
As photographers we feel extremely happy when we see the illumination they chose and The black walls!! With littles lights like stars!! Good selection!!
But what really surprised us was the wonderful Mexican folk show.
It was like a wonderful travel between different regions of Mexico from their typical different dances. Absolutely spectacular!
It was a great pleasure for us to meet Rick and Robin and had the honor of meeting their two families!!
