HOW STEPHANIE AND ALENNA MET

Stephanie and Alenna met at work and quickly developed a strong connection. After two years together, Stephanie decided it was time to propose.

Her original plan was to ask Alenna during a trip to Greece. When the pandemic made international travel impossible in 2020, Stephanie adapted her plans rather than postponing such an important moment.

During a trip to New Orleans for the fortieth wedding anniversary of Stephanie’s parents, she proposed to Alenna. The occasion connected the beginning of their engagement with a meaningful celebration of love and family.

The weather was beautiful as Stephanie and Alenna prepared for their long-awaited wedding day. Their preparations included hair and makeup, final details and a champagne toast before the ceremony.

These quieter moments gave us the opportunity to document the anticipation building before the celebration. The photographs show the excitement in their expressions and the support of the people who accompanied them throughout the day.

Instead of directing every moment, we allowed the interactions to unfold naturally. This documentary approach created space for genuine expressions, laughter and affectionate gestures between the brides, their families and their friends.
