Samara and David’s Secrets Maroma wedding took place in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION BEFORE THE WEDDING

We first met Samara and David several months before their wedding during their engagement session. Their easy-going personalities, openness and trust created an immediate connection between us.

Spending that time together before the wedding allowed them to become comfortable in front of the camera and gave us the opportunity to understand their relationship. Their affection felt natural and sincere, making it easy to photograph the small gestures and spontaneous moments that revealed their personalities.

When their wedding day arrived, that connection was still present. Samara and David were kind, attentive and completely comfortable together, allowing us to document their celebration naturally as it unfolded.

A LOVE STORY WITH A CONNECTION TO ITALY

Italy has always held a special place in Samara’s heart because she previously studied there. David understood how meaningful that connection was to her and incorporated it into one of the most important moments of their relationship.

After spending a romantic day sailing together, David proposed to Samara during an Italian dinner. The proposal reflected their relationship and created another meaningful connection between their story and Italy.

As the Italian founder of Cossu Photography, Gionata Cossu immediately connected with this part of their journey. Their shared appreciation for Italy made the experience of photographing Samara and David feel even more personal.

Samara and David chose Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun for their destination wedding in Mexico. The celebration brought them together with their loved ones in the Riviera Maya, creating an intimate and emotional atmosphere throughout the day.

The same warmth we had experienced during their engagement session remained visible during the wedding. Their care for one another could be seen in their expressions, gestures and quiet interactions, as well as in the way they welcomed and celebrated with their guests.

Rather than directing every moment, we focused on observing the relationships and emotions surrounding them. This approach allowed their Secrets Maroma wedding photographs to reflect the real atmosphere of the celebration and the connection shared between the couple, their families and friends.
