Silvia + Luca
Silvia and Luca’s cenote elopement in Riviera Maya was an intimate destination wedding surrounded by the natural beauty of the Mexican jungle. After seven years together, they exchanged their vows at Cenote El Buho, located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, accompanied by a small group of close friends who travelled from Italy.
SILVIA AND LUCA’S LOVE STORY
Silvia and Luca met when they were young and soon understood that they wanted to experience life together. Their relationship continued to grow over seven years, creating the connection and shared history that eventually brought them to Mexico for their wedding.
Instead of planning a large traditional celebration, they wanted an experience that felt sacred, simple and personal. A private ceremony in the Riviera Maya jungle reflected their personalities and allowed them to focus on their commitment and the people closest to them.
Their friends travelled from Italy to share this meaningful experience, turning the elopement into both an intimate wedding and an unforgettable journey together.
AN INTIMATE CEREMONY AT CENOTE EL BUHO
Silvia and Luca chose Cenote El Buho for their intimate destination wedding. Located between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, the cenote offered the authentic jungle setting they had imagined for their ceremony.
Surrounded by trees, tropical vegetation and the natural formations of the cenote, the couple exchanged their vows in a quiet environment away from the atmosphere of a traditional resort wedding. The setting gave the ceremony a strong connection to the landscape of the Riviera Maya.
The presence of only their closest friends made every interaction feel especially personal. We documented the ceremony quietly, concentrating on their expressions, the reactions of their guests and the spontaneous moments that unfolded around them.
CENOTE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE RIVIERA MAYA
After the officiant declared Silvia and Luca husband and wife, they explored the surrounding jungle together. Their happiness and playful personalities immediately emerged as they walked among the trees and along the jungle paths.
The natural environment provided an atmospheric setting for their portraits without distracting from the meaning of the occasion. Instead of creating rigid poses, we allowed Silvia and Luca to move, interact and enjoy the experience as they had when they were younger.
This documentary approach helped us preserve both the beauty of Cenote El Buho and the genuine connection between the newlyweds.
A CELEBRATION INSIDE THE CENOTE
Before leaving, Silvia, Luca and their friends entered the cenote together. Jumping into the water became a joyful conclusion to the ceremony and a symbolic way to begin the couple’s new chapter.
The moment reflected everything they wanted from their wedding: simplicity, adventure, friendship and a close connection to the natural surroundings. It also created some of the most spontaneous photographs from their cenote elopement in Riviera Maya.
